"Thank you for giving me a scholarship to participate in the camps that took place in Cap Haitian, Cange and in Jacmel. These camps permitted me to move closer to my future, my career. I aspire to be a professional musician to be able to transmit to young Haitians my knowledge of music. I practied a lot during these camps, especially with a trombonist named Keith Johnston. I learned so much from him – with music one is able to improve and to change a negative attitude to a positive one. BLUME Haiti Board Members Keith Johnston was recently featured in the Sacred Heart University news, and the story was picked up by the Connecticut Post.
“One of my first impressions of Haiti was on my very first night there, before camp even started. The boy choir had an impromptu concert in the darkened chapel on grounds of the campus. These kids were singing from the very depths of their soul, and the sound was transformative”

It's summer- you know what that means! Music camps are happening all across Haiti and BLUME Haiti board members have joined volunteers from around the world to teach and staff the camps. We've been posting lots of great pictures on Facebook so please like our page to keep up to date!
