Nannley Duverly (flute), with Fenor Onesime (piano)
BLUME Haiti scholarship recipient and wonderfully gifted flutist, Nannley Jacques Duverly is from Cap Haitian. Nannley has studied with volunteer teachers at various summer camps in Haiti and he also has had the opportunity to work with Mercedes Smith, the principal flutist of the Utah Symphony, at the Haitian Orchestra Institute. In total, this amounts to less than a year of formal training - but, you have to know that this doesn’t include the countless hours he spends studying with his other beloved teacher, YouTube! As motivated and gifted as Nannley is, nothing will hold him back!
