SUMMER CAMP FUND
For more than forty years, John Jost devoted his summers to Haiti, primarily through the École de Musique Sainte Trinité (Holy Trinity Music School) Summer Camp, while also making occasional visits to other music programs around the country. Through political upheaval, natural disasters, and countless other challenges, John was in Haiti to teach at the music camp. Generations of musicians remember him as a teacher, conductor, mentor, and friend.
The John Jost Summer Camp Fund celebrates that legacy by supporting the music camps that were such an important part of John's life and work.
Gifts to this fund will be split equally to support scholarships for young musicians at the École de Musique Sainte Trinité and at music schools throughout Haiti.
Summer music camps introduced thousands of young Haitians to new possibilities, new friendships, and new visions for their future. John devoted decades of his life to making those experiences possible.

John Jost is the inspiration behind so much of the work we do in Haiti. A passionate educator, musician, and humanitarian, he believed in the power of music to transform lives and build community. It was John who first introduced our executive director to Haiti in 1996, setting in motion a journey that would lead to the founding of BLUME Haiti and a lifelong commitment to supporting Haitian musicians and music education.
